Question Tags are questions in a short form. They are always at the end of a sentence.
They are common in conversations to ask or to confirm one’s impressions or opinions or to agree en facts and ideas.
Notice that:
In declarative sentences, question tags adopt the negative form, for example: Marian is your classmate, isn’t she?
In negative sentences, question tags adopt the affirmative form, for example: Charles hasn’t arrived yet, has he?
